Your site tracks for one search, and a placeholder phone number is still live on it

This review is about what your website brings in, and what stops it. Established in 2014, a real drone photo of an install, real SEAI, RECI and Safe Electric badges, a proper company registration number shown in the footer. The problem is what's underneath. The entire site tracks for one search in Semrush, no list of pages has ever been handed to Google, and a placeholder phone number, 123-456-7890, sits live in the page code alongside your two real numbers. A "What our Customers say" section on the homepage has a heading and nothing under it. It's all detailed below, with what to do about each one.

01 The rankings

One tracked search, for the words that describe your business exactly

Semrush tracks exactly one search for the entire site: "solar panels wexford", which brings in every visit the site measures, with no confirmed numbered position behind it. That's the whole picture. No other search, branded or otherwise, currently registers.

What people GooglePeople / monthYour situation
solar panels wexford210Real visits, no confirmed numbered position, 100% of the site's traffic.Unconfirmed

Established in 2014 and still tracking for only one search over a decade later isn't a content problem, since real About, Solar PV, EV Charger and Street Lighting pages exist. It's a sign Google has never been given the basic groundwork, a title, a list of pages, to build a fuller picture of the site from.

Bottom line: One real search works. Nothing else has been given a chance to.
02 The specifics

Four things holding the numbers down

Placeholder
A demo phone number is still live in the code
123-456-7890, a default number left over from building the page, sits in the site alongside your two real contact numbers. It's not the number a visitor is likely to call, but it shouldn't be there at all.
Empty
Your testimonials section has no content
"What our Customers say" appears as a heading on the homepage with nothing underneath it, no quotes, no names, no stars.
Missing
No description written for your Google listing
There is currently no meta description set for the homepage, so Google fills the gap itself, usually with whatever text it finds first on the page.
Missing
No list of pages has ever been given to Google
No sitemap exists at dmelectrical.ie. Without one, Google has no reliable list of what exists across your Solar PV, EV Charger and Street Lighting pages.
Worth noticing

The real drone photo, the SEAI and Safe Electric badges, the company registration number, none of that is in question. If a working testimonials section and a proper Wexford page are being added anyway, price both options: building them into the current site, or building a new one around everything it's missing.

Bottom line: The proof exists in the business. It just isn't reaching the page yet.
03 Done for you

The fixes, already written out

Each fix below is ready to hand to whoever manages the site.

Fix 1 · New text for your Google listing

Fix 2 · Remove the placeholder, add a sitemap
Two small technical fixes with an outsized effect on how the site is trusted and found.
123-456-7890 → remove the placeholder phone number wherever it appears in the page code
sitemap.xml → generate one and submit it in the free Google tool that shows how your site appears in search
Fix 3 · Fill the testimonials section
The heading already exists on the homepage, ready for real content.
"What our Customers say" → add 2-3 real customer quotes with names, or remove the heading until they're ready
Bottom line: Remove the placeholder number and add the Google description first. Both take minutes.

the platform decision
Decide the platform question first. If a working testimonials section and a proper Wexford page are being added anyway, price both options: building them into the current site, or building a new site around them.

05 What it adds up to

Run your own numbers on it

Right now, the whole site's search footprint is

1 tracked search, 210 people a month typing "solar panels wexford".

Real visits already arrive from it, with no confirmed plain search ranking behind them.

A decade of real business history, one search registering it.

210 people a month search the exact words that describe your business. A real slice of them already find you. The rest of the site, established over ten years with real accreditation, hasn't been given the basic groundwork to be found for anything beyond that one search. You know your close rate on enquiries and what an install is worth. That's the sum worth doing on your side.

Bottom line: A decade of real work is currently represented by one search.
Why sooner beats later

A ten-year-old business tracking for a single search is not a slow-growth story, it's a site that has never been properly handed to Google. Every month that continues is a month a newer competitor with the basics in place can catch up on real history you already have.
